Worker Exposure Testing

Worker exposure testing is aspect of industrial hygiene that focuses on evaluating employee exposures to chemical hazards. Testing can be done in response to complaints, or on a proactive basis, to demonstrate compliance with regulations and to ensure worker safety.

Typically, testing is done by obtaining “personal” samples collected by a cassette placed within the worker’s breathing zone. Testing can also involve “area” samples collected at a fixed location. ECG submits the samples for analysis, evaluates the results, and then prepares a report that includes a summary of the findings and recommendations for the client.
