ECG has enjoyed working with many real estate and property management firms in the Chicagoland area. These firms often retain ECG to address environmental issues of importance to their tenants.
• Phase I and Phase II Site Assessments
For example, many of ECG’s downtown clients conduct proactive, bi-annual indoor air quality and domestic water testing in their buildings. By doing so, they establish a baseline for air and water quality. ECG tests for over a dozen indoor air quality (IAQ) and water quality parameters. For indoor air quality, testing is conducted for the following potential air contaminants:
• Temperature
• Relative humidity
• Carbon dioxide (CO2)
• Carbon monoxide (CO)
• Respirable Dust
• Total volatile organic compounds
• Formaldehyde
• Ozone
For water quality, ECG commonly conducts testing for:
• Legionella bacteria
• Total coliform bacteria
• Metals including arsenic, cadmium, arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury, nickel, selenium, silver, thallium, and zinc
