Residential Abatement and Remediation Services

ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES

During the removal work, ECG can conduct project monitoring, which ensures that the asbestos is removed in a manner that is safe for the asbestos workers, other building occupants, and the building itself. ECG also conducts air testing to measure the amount of airborne fibers present in and around the work areas. Once the contractor is finished with the removal project, ECG can conduct final clearance samples to ensure the areas have been property cleaned and are safe for re-occupancy.

MOLD REMEDIATION SERVICES

In general, indoor mold growth should be removed promptly to protect the health of the residents. While ECG does not conduct actual remediation, we have contact information for several competitively-priced and reputable mold remediation contractors in the area. ECG conducts final clearance testing to ensure the mold remediation project was performed successfully.

LEAD ABATEMENT SERVICES

When an inspection reveals that building materials contain lead-based paint, the owner has several options. If the lead-based paint is in poor condition (peeling and flaking) and the materials will remain in the building, the peeling and flaking paint should be removed (mitigated) by licensed lead contractors. During the removal process, lead is often released into the air as chipped paint is removed from the affected surfaces. ECG can conduct airborne lead testing to ensure that lead levels in the work area meet Occupational Safely and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
